A young lad ran away from home to prove that he could live alone. He roamed and roamed only to find that he missed his home. However, his arrogance stopped him from returning home. A few years later, after life had pushed him around a bit, he truly yearned to go home, but now it was shame that stopped him.
One day he met an old neighbor who lived across the street from his home back then. He told his neighbor his plight. His neighbor (a wise woman), paused for a moment and then said, “Just go home.”
Sometimes truth invites you to listen, and you refuse because of your arrogance or shame. Just listen. Go home. Go home to yourself, that part of you that always knows what’s best for you.
Blessings & love to all of you, Rob
