Hello to all of you visiting our website right now,
A lot of things are happening in the world right now (in your world right now). This is when you want to be especially open to allowing “everyday, ordinary, unassuming gurus” to pass your way and offer a tip or two. Are you doing that? Mansia is looking for a tip (below). Can you use it for your own life?
I would like a tip from you as my ordinary guru of the day. I often get flooded with emotions that overwhelm me. I don’t know how to deal with them. What would you do?
Thank you for any small tip, Mansia
The way to prevent feeling overwhelmed when harmful emotions flood over you is to watch them as they come. Pretend you are at the ocean shore and the tide is coming in. Watch the waves of the ocean flood over the big beautiful rocks on the shore. The waves do not harm the rock, and the waves quickly ebb back to the sea.
You are that beautiful glistening rock on the ocean’s edge. When you feel emotions flooding over you, think of the scene I just set up for you. Your very awareness of the emotions being waves of the sea, and you being a big, beautiful being, will give you the power to deal with them effectively.
Little practices like this one will give you back your power, no matter what your emotions may be.
Blessings to you, Mansia
Perhaps this “imaginal act at the ocean” is a great tip for you. Did you take the walk with Mansia and me on the seashore? Your imagination is your most powerful tool. Use it to empower you, not disempower you.
Blessings & love to all of you, Rob
