Well, well, well … Friday, Friday, Friday – TGIF. Why do I say, “Thank God It’s Friday”? Because our blog today is a Godly one. You’ll see. Alan starts the inquiry (see below)
Hi Mr. White
I don’t hear you mention God much. What’s your take on God. I am curious because I question the God I learned about from the religion that I grew up with.
Love to hear from you on this, Alan
God – wow, that’s a big one.
A person’s concept of God is not God. But we get so caught up in our ideas about God, and what he’s like or what she’s like or what it is like that we miss the experience of Godliness entirely.
No idea about a cow is a cow. Do you agree, Alan? When you think about a cow or read about a cow or speak about a cow – that’s not a cow. Do you agree?
However, when you walk in the cow barn at the Big E annual fair in Springfield, Ma. … now you experience a cow! The wonderful cow-smell, the touch of their cowhide, the look in their big soft cow-eyes, and maybe you even milk a cow – NOW THAT’S A COW! Do you agree?
Well, it seems that folks like that know God like they know a cow. But how? There is only one way to know God, in my opinion – get to know yourself (your whole and complete self). Is not God omnipresent? That means he’s everywhere, right. Are you not part of “everywhere”? Then is God not present in every part of you, every cell of you, every thought you have, every thing you do? If God is inseparable from you because God is omnipresent, and always in every part of you – then are you not God in a bod? Hmmm.
Well, I hope that gets you pondering, Alan.
Blessings to you, Rob
What are your ideas about God? Are you willing to accept your ideas about God as simply “ideas,” and not necessarily true, or does that suggestion really bother you?
Blessing & love to all of you, Rob
Ps Many religions created a God based on their personal desires. Did you know that?
