Hello “unassuming guru” seeking tribe members,
Oftentimes, I have found the perfect unassuming guru passing my way when I am caught in a fearful reaction. That is when life offers the perfect insight we need to act in the right direction in spite of fear. John inquires into the subject of fear (see below)
Hi Rob White
I loved your “Margaret Book.” You taught me a lot but I didn’t feel like you preached to me at all. I liked that. That’s a tough one to pull off. Nice job.
Now, here’s my question: is it true that some people just don’t feel fear, and that’s why they are such daredevils in business and in life?
Thank you for any insights with this fear matter, John Peterson
The absence of fear is not a choice. It’s just not possible. So what’s the difference between folks who succeed in life and folks who hesitate? Well, one thing is the same – both have the experience of fear. However, the successful person acts in spite of fear while the hesitator freezes in the face of fear.
Folks who hesitate in the face of fear may think that those who don’t hesitate are different than them, but they’re not. The only thing that’s different is that those who act in spite of fear consider fear a companion that keeps them on their toes. Fear keeps them sharp.
I hope that helps you with your inquiry into fear, John.
Blessings to you, Rob
If you avoid taking action in the face of fear, your life is determined by what’s left over after all the good stuff has been taken. Think about that.
Blessings & love to all of you, Rob
Ps Your life is always about growing beyond the narrowness that your fears impose on you. If you’re not growing, you’re dying.
