Hello fellow “ordinary guru” seekers. Randy wants to know how he can get smart? Great question! First, notice that the question implies that “getting smart” is possible. The question implies we CAN get smart. That’s what unassuming gurus are up to – giving you a new tip or two that helps you to get smart. (let’s look at Randy’s inquiry (below)
I’ll make it short and sweet. How do I get smart?
You can never get smart until you first get tired of your old dumb habits. You’ve got em (old dumb habits). We all do. But to get tired of them, first you have to become aware that you have them. Not only must you become aware of them but you must also be weary of living with them any longer. Weary of getting angry every time your wife or son disagrees with you; weary of worrying about money matters every month when the bills are due; weary of dominating others to avoid being dominated by others when you’re driving your car; whatever it may be. Become aware of those habits that have you living anxiously, and get sick and tired of living that way any longer. RIGHT THERE YOU HAVE ALREADY BEGUN TO GET SMART!
Blessings to you, Randy …. Rob
If you are planning to continue to grow, your task is to leave the “old you” behind. Yup, you’ve got to die of that identity that stops you from living freely. That takes courage. Do you have that kind of courage? If you do, then you get the opportunity to be born anew – sweet liberty!
Blessings & love to all of you, Rob
PS Want to get smart? Wish for newness of character more than anything else. Then take action.
