I say to all of you fellow “ordinary, everyday, unassuming guru” seekers, Seek and ye shall find. However, if you are to find the many everyday gurus who seek to help you, then you must be willing to think out of that that tiny little box of thoughts that you are used to. Myria touches on this (below).
Love your easy answers. What’s it mean to seek a higher power?
Like to know your thoughts, Myria
Seeking a higher power is simply a matter of letting go of your habitual self. The habitual self is attached to a mechanical mind of stimulus-response routines. There is no higher power (no creative nature) in such a conditioned mind with its tiny box of reactive thoughts.
Simply stated – the conditioned mind is stuck with lower-level thinking, usually caught up with fight/flight survival schemes and a “hoping to look good” mentality. There is nothing of any value coming from this level of thinking.
The free mind is your higher power. It is able to seek new ways of thinking that offer you new ways of living a better life. What could make you feel higher than that? There’s your power!
Blessings to you Myria … Rob
What mind do you turn to when you have a challenge confront you? Do you turn to the mechanical mind that always reacts (always acts as it used to act), or do you turn to the higher power within you? That is the creative mind that makes your dreams come true.
Blessings & love to all of you, Rob
PS Always ask – “What’s this got to do with me?” From that you will find sweet liberty!
