Hello fellow “ordinary, everyday, unassuming guru” seekers,
Are you looking for those wonderful “gifts of truth” that life offers you daily so that you may have a breakthrough to better living? They are there. Dare to be open to a system of thinking that goes beyond your current belief system. Do you dare? That’s where answers are found! Riva wants more aliveness in her living; it’s clear in her inquiry.
Hi Mr White
I am a positive person, but sometimes I get caught in a negative mood. Is there such a thing as complete positivity, or does everyone get caught in a negative mood every now and again?
Does that question make sense?
Thank you very much for the advice that you give me on your blog site, Riva
I am happy to serve you as an “ordinary, everyday guru” who may have a tip or two that helps you live better.
Now, in response to your inquiry – just as a chicken farmer must watch diligently to protect his chickens from the neighborhood foxes, so it is that you must remain alert to those negative thought-voices that roam in your field of consciousness. For sure, they will gobble up your optimistic mood if you are unaware of their presence.
When the neighborhood fox carry off the farmer’s chicken, he loses his livelihood. When your negative thought-voices carry off your uplifting mood, it drains your power to create your life as you want it to be.
Use this metaphor to remind yourself of the fact that you are never free of negativity – certainly not when you are living in a reality of polarity. Polarity insists that opposites exist. You cannot have “up” without having “down” somewhere close to be found; you cannot feel optimistic without pessimism prowling around.
When you are aware of this, and alert to when negative thought-voices are imposing themselves on your mind-set, you can take the necessary measures to protect yourself from that. There are many self-help books that address such matters.
Blessings to you Riva, Rob
The truth shall always make you free – make you free to be who you want to be. No person can serve two masters. What shall it be for thee – positivity or negativity? Choose to serve positivity and you find yourself dripping with creative energy. SWEET VICTORY!
Blessings & love to all of you, Rob
PS To live truly is to live without allowing negative thought-voices (that come from past failures), to decide your life for you.
