Hello, hello to each and every one of you “everyday, ordinary, guru” seeking tribe members. It’s amazing how many folks will ask me if there is a tip to luring more ordinary gurus into their company. Here’s just such an inquiry (see below).
My name is Colby. I love the idea of gurus coming my way to help me by offering tips on how to live better. I’m not sure if I know how to attract them. Either that or they come and I don’t notice. What am I missing?
Best to you, Colby
So many folks will say to me, “I don’t seem to have any ordinary gurus drifting my way. What do you think I’m doing wrong, Rob?”
Well, Colby, it’s not that you’re doing something wrong. It’s that you do not have the eyes to see nor the ears to hear when an ordinary guru passes by, offering a tip for better living.
We’ve all heard the story of the shipwrecked person who was stranded on a desert island. He dropped a note into a bottle and cast it out into the sea. A ship passing by, saw the bottle, retrieved the note, and rescued the stranded person.
What would have happened if the stranded person did not make out a note, put it in a bottle and cast it out into the sea? Hmmm. What if that person just blindly went about trying to stay alive without seeking help? Hmmm, again.
Dare to be more daring, Colby. A sincere call for guidance will attract dozens of gurus with perfect insights that will help you. “THE CALL” is in your attitude – be open to accepting advice as eagerly as you may give advice. Do you like to give advice? Miracles will happen!
Blessings to you, Colby … Rob
The only way to pass through the storms of life is to live with the truth about life and about you. A great way to live with the truth is to be willing to hear it when an ordinary guru passes through to offer it. They pass through for everyone. Often! No one is left out. Are you willing to hear them? Often?
Blessings & love to all of you, Rob
PS There’s a sure way to avoid hearing the truth that an ordinary guru may be offering. You do that by sticking to your guns – insist that you already know all there is to know. Oh oh!
