Hello fellow tribe members,
I have found that everyone I meet can be my “everyday, ordinary, unassuming guru” if I am in a receptive mood to learn something new. That’s how kind life is to me … and to you! Bobbie brings up a great topic of conversation (below).
Hi Mr. White
My boyfriend, Tim, is my everyday guru. He is always helping me to see things straight. One thing he says often though is ‘get real’ when I start talking about becoming a movie star. I respect him a lot. What do you think ‘get real’ means Mr. White?
Thank you, Bobbie
Realness is an interesting topic. What does it mean to be real as a human being? Looking at being real requires a different point of view than is usual for me and you. Have you noticed that you are one way with Tim and quite another with your brother or your math teacher? Which is the real you?
Have you noticed that you act one way when you are trying to impress someone, and yet quite another way when you are tired and irritated and just trying to get though the day?
It seems every one of us has multiple personalities, each taking center stage when it is most appropriate for that personality to act. Realizing that you have multiple personalities is the first step to understanding realness.
You are whoever you choose to be, Bobbie. If being a movie star becomes your magnificent obsession, then the right and perfect personality will swell up and arise from within you to take you to that expression. Nothing is better than a tear at the right and perfect moment, and nothing is better than a smile. A weeping face and a smiling face are equally as beautiful in the right place. Getting real is just like that.
Blessings to you, Rob
Have you ever given thought to the real you? When do you feel most authentic while expressing yourself? When do you feel like a big fake? Being a human being is an incredible experience. As a human being you have the capacity to create yourself anew any time you want to. If you do this genuinely, a beautiful life is waiting for thee. I am not talking about being a phony. I am talking about uncovering and expressing new talents and strengths that await your discovery in the deep of you. Discover them and demonstrate them at the next perfect opportunity – that’s getting real. How’s that feel?
Blessings & Love, Rob
PS No matter how long you have been out of touch with yourself you can redesign yourself anew, and discover there’s a whole new life waiting for you.
