Hello my friends,
Have you ever wondered why you do so many things that you know aren’t good for you? Yet you do them again and again! Being a human being can be quite mystifying, can’t it? That’s why we all love a good “everyday ordinary guru” to pass our way and give us a tip or two to help set us straight.
Jon brings up a question about asking good questions that might help us live right. (see below)
Hi Mr. White
I had the good fortune of being in the company of a real guru from India. He’s quite famous, but I will not mention his name here. I had the opportunity to ask him a question, and my mind went blank. What do you think might have been a good general question to ask?
Thank you, Jon L.
When you are in the company of someone who truly has answers, a great opening question is this: “Can you tell me what I need to know so I will feel free to be successful and grow?” That one question will have your guru explain to you that there are three things you need to pay attention to.
When you feel fearful about trying something new, you give power to the fear; power that it does not possess. Just knowing this creates space for you to begin your new adventure with action that is higher than your usual nervous reactions.
As you progress down your new path, pay attention to what happens to you with a watchful eye. Be objectively observant. This empowers you to respond without feeling threatened. Without the feeling of threat you drop your mechanical way of dealing with things. This creates space for innovation.
Stop dancing the same dance you’ve always danced. There is so much more to you. Dare to be spontaneous. Give yourself a small task every day that builds your courage to step out of the box, one baby step at a time.
I hope this helps you, Jon. Blessings, Rob
Is there a message in the above conversation that applies to you? Your constructive energy is absolutely pure. Use it constructively and you will get results that please you. Convert that pure energy into nervousness energy, and you will continue to live a life of fear.
Blessings and Love to all of you, Rob
PS Every human being must rescue himself or herself from that which stops them from succeeding. Very few human beings believe that fact.
