Hello my fellow “everyday, ordinary, unassuming guru” seeking friends.
Some of you folks have asked me to share some personal insights that helped me take my life to higher levels of living. Okay, here you go; here’s a few:
1. A WILLINGNESS TO LEARN – which means admitting that there’s a helluva lot about myself and about life that I don’t understand yet. More that I don’t understand than I do understand.
2. A WILLINGNESS TO ACCEPT (AND NOT BE DISMAYED) WHEN I FIND THAT I AM NOT AT ALL WHO I ASSUME MYSELF TO BE – wow, that’s a big one. How am I going to grow and blossom into all I am here to be if I am not willing to see how inauthentic I can be in the name of being right or trying to look good? Beware those two big curses – they will destroy your chances for joyful living.
3. SOLVING RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS BEGINS WITH WORKING ON ONESELF, NOT BY MAKING OTHERS WRONG AND TRYING TO FIX THEM. Oh my God, how many marriages have been destroyed because of this one? How many friendships?
These three popped in my head quickly. I am going with my gut and assuming one of them will connect with you. Have you asked, “What has this got do to with me?” I hope so. The quality of your life equals the quality of your self-development. Go for it!
Blessings & love, Rob
PS – It is necessary that you see through yourself if you want your journey through life to be on solid ground. Otherwise it is a slippery path indeed.
