Sometimes brevity is the best way to resolve an issue. I appreciate Compton’s clarity with his inquiry. (see below). I thank all of you who have been emailing questions, and I will be sharing more of your “everyday, ordinary guru” experiences over the coming weeks.
I’ll keep it simple. Lately I am constantly feeling discouraged, like nothing is going to work out in life. What do I do about that?
I’ll keep it simple. You are not compelled to accept discouraging news as discouraging. There is such a thing as inner stillness. Most folks have abandoned that natural strength.
Your basic challenge is your alienation from your authentic nature, which is much more open-minded and adventurous than you are allowing. It is your panic-stricken insistence that things be as you want them to be that causes you to constantly feel discouraged. Relax a little. Life is really not that complicated.
Well, what do the rest of you think?
Have you been getting too uptight lately?
You can use your mind in a totally new way.
Don’t let the daily news decide your mood today.
Things go right when you set your mind right.
When you are ready, answers come.
Blessings and Love, Rob
PS Zen teaches that inner stillness is so close that we cannot hear it. Listen ☺
