I would like to take this blog-opportunity to address a matter that is on the minds of many: money-matters.
Recently, I was having a conversation with a member of the clergy, and he asked me if I thought religious teachings can be applied to financial conditions.
I asked him to give me a religious teaching that he felt could not be applied to financial conditions.
He came back with this. All religions teach, “To lose one’s life is to find it.” They may teach this truth differently, but all religions agree that man must let go of his angry ways to become peaceful; let go of his greedy ways in order to become honest; let go of his petty habits in order to become whole once again. He then asked me to apply this to making money.
My thoughts were this:
Man must lose his victim mentality in order to find his natural attitude of plenitude. A man who wails, “Poor me” when it comes to money, can only attract lack. If he’s to break the back on that lack-attack, he must let go of the “poor me” role. For it is only from an attitude of plenitude that he will find the answers he seeks to attract the money he desires.
So, in fact – to lose one’s life of poverty is to let go of all of the thought-habits that give energy to impoverishment. Don’t take this lightly. You were born to be rich in all that you set your mind to. But you must let go of the “YOU” that assumes that money is scarce if you are going to prove that you were born to be rich.
Only when you let that “poor me” role go, can you resurrect the truth about you: you are a rich and majestic child of Infinite Intelligence. Trust in that fact and money will come running back.
Your state of mind is everything.
Ask yourself, “What this blog got to do with me?”
Where, in your life, do you feel impoverished?
With your relationships? With your health? With money?
Where, in your life do you play the “poor me” role? In what area of your life do you suffer with lack?
Here’s a quick pick-me-up to get you started:
- Understand how the game of riches is played – it’s a game played in the mind. The world is only a mirror of what you think and feel about yourself in relationship to life’s riches.
- Look for the perfect opportunity to create a new “ME” when it comes to your attitude about deserving life’s many riches. Do you know when that perfect opportunity is? NOW!
- Put your new identity into the game of life: “I am a rich and majestic child of Infinite Intelligence,” and intend to prove it.
I did it. I’ve proven it. There’s nothing special about me that I cannot see easily in you.
Blessings and Love, Rob
PS – We all know deep down that all would be well if we could just get out of our own way. What “ME” are you clinging to that gets in your way? That’s the “ME” that you must lose to be free. Ah, sweet liberty!!
