Hello partners of guru search patrol
Have you been keeping your eye out for a guru or two to pass your way? Have you been extending an invitation for life to send more ordinary gurus to you? How do you do that? The answer is quite simple. Simply say to yourself, “I’m up for a powerful learning experience today. I am inviting an ordinary, unassuming, everyday guru to come my way.”
Really! I mean it. Just say the above statement. You will be in awe at how responsive your subconscious mind will be to setting your radar straight for a guru.
Have you signed up on our email list so you can become a member of a very powerful community that is right now beginning to gather and collect members?
Okay .. Here’s a punchy Guru story for you:
I woke up this morning and remembered an everyday, ordinary guru that came my way. It was my formula race car instructor of over a decade ago. I was having problems cornering at high speeds. I’d stare at the bank of the corner for fear of flipping over. And although I didn’t flip over I did skid a lot.
Well, the instructor (Don was his name), said very clearly, “Don’t look at where you don’t want to Rob. GET OUT OF THAT HABIT! Turn your head and look at where you do want to go.” In other words stop starring at the bank of the corner and start staring at the curve in the race track.
Well, after telling me that a dozen times (being a slow learner), I finally got it. And do you know what else I got? He was an everyday, ordinary, unassuming guru offering me a very important principle of success in life: DON’T STARE AT WHAT YOU DON’T WANT TO HAPPEN IN YOUR IMAGINATION – ENVISION WHAT YOU DO WANT TO HAPPEN, AND STARE AT THAT!
Why do we tend to stare at what we don’t want? Why do we imagine the worse and focus our attention on that? It’s because we are wired to avoid pain.
The secret to success is to glimpse quickly at what you don’t want to happen, so you can be alert to it if it becomes a problem, but then take a good long moment to envision what you do want to happen, add all the specific details to that vision and focus on that.
I know you already know this. And yet, isn’t it great to be reminded of what we already know so we can put it back into action in our lives?
What’s this got to do with you? Well, what problem are you right now dealing with? Are you staring at the worse that could happen?
Can you clearly see the outcome you dream can be?
“Deftly do we shape a raw piece of talent (our essence), into something of incredible value when we train our brain to focus on what we want to be; not on what we don’t want to be.”
– Rob White
Blessings and Love to you, Rob
PS – In case you’ve not noticed, one of the things we’re up to, is this – we are looking closely at what we call gold so we can discern between real golden truths and fool’s gold.
PPS – Any inner poverty that you are experiencing is a result of holding tight to fool’s gold (ideas and opinions that you consider gold that are nothing more than erroneous assumptions and misdirected thinking).
(Perhaps you’ll share an “ordinary guru story with our community? Email it to me and I’ll post it on my blog site. Or perhaps you’ll offer a comment on how you caught yourself looking at what you didn’t want and flipped it to the positive side of the coin?)
