The fundamental upon which all success rests: “It’s only when you lose yourself that you can find yourself – find the authentic you that is capable of receiving what you dream of achieving.”
Student: What does that mean, “lose yourself”?
Teacher: If you plan to get ahead, you must empty yourself of the “Doubting Thomas” that resides in your head.
Student: Won’t that leave me naked and confused?
Teacher: It’s only when the doubting-self vanishes, like a cloud in the sky, that you can find and feel the ocean of talents hidden deep inside.
Student: You have a clever way of saying things, no doubt. But, can you add something more for me to wrap my mind around?
Teacher: The loss of your doubting-self becomes a weapon in your hand, empowering you to vanquish thought-habits that stop you from FEELING your talents and saying, “I can, I can, I can!”
Student: Thank you for the words.
Teacher: The words are of no value, unless they awaken within you the desire to have a breakthrough. You have no need of understanding what’s been said, only of feeling the truth of what’s being offered. Learn to listen less with your ears and more with a silent wakeful heart. Make it your intent to fill your heart with passion; spare your mind the weight of understanding.
