I can remember back when I said to myself, “It’s time to face the fact that I’d better start growing up right now if I intended to make my dreams come true.” That was four decades ago when I’d run out of excuses for explaining why my life wasn’t working as I hoped.
Have you run out of excuses yet? Have you decided to make a desperate situation out of conditions in your life that aren’t working for you? That’s great! But, make sure your are inspiringly creative with your desperation, not begrudgingly destructive.
Much more than you are aware of – your mind is full of great ideas to help you break through to a new life. However, you have to wake up to the fact that you have to grow up right now; that is if you truly plan to live your dreams. Otherwise, you leave your dreams behind.
Sometimes, what sounds like bad news is good news. I repeat: by all means, get desperate with your situation if it isn’t satisfying you, but be sure you get desperate in an inspiring manner. That one shift in attitude will save you from living a life of disappointing desperation.
Of all the qualities of mind, desperation is a most useful one when used effectively.
