In ancient text, we read of Cain and Abel; two brothers who see the world very differently.
Cain listens to the world voice, and believes what you see is what you get. He sees his life from a limited point of view. He doesn’t believe his dreams will come true.
Abel doesn’t let the world voice determine his visions of the future, nor does he allow his eyes to decide what will happen next. Abel uses his imagination to envision a life of prosperity and riches.
Cain fixed his attention on what already existed in his life. Thus, his future became more of the same that he’d experienced in the past.
Abel had faith in the unseen, in those visions that, in the world, could not yet be seen. And, his faith soon made the unseen seen; his future became an unfolding of his dreams.
Cain or Abel – which shall it be for thee?
Will you choose the attitude of Cain? Will you allow the world to determine your points of view? If you do, your world as it is now will determine your life for you. And that life be deja vue – more of the same old stuff always coming to you.
Will you choose the attitude of Abel? Will you allow your imagination to soar with wonderful fantasies of a life filled with treasures? And, are you willing to believe in yourself, in spite of the world shouting “NO” at you?
Optimistic expectation is the stuff of which miracles are made – dare to choose the attitude of Abel
