If you work hard, and do everything you can to change conditions in your outer world, before you put in the time to change conditions in your inner world – it just ain’t gonna happen! You are working against the very primal nature of creation.
There can be no permanent outer changes in the world that you experience until there are transformational changes in the I AM that you consider yourself to be. And that happens in your inner world!
Anything new that you do – as a matter of fact – everything new that you do, if it is not accompanied by new assumptions that you take on as true about you – is futile effort. Indeed, if it is to be, it is entirely up to thee. BUT, until you change your point of view about you, what’s to be tomorrow can only be more of the same; more of what you got yesterday.
When you begin accepting new versions of yourself, when you begin seeing yourself in new and different ways, quite naturally you find yourself behaving in new and different ways. These new and different ways inevitably reflect the new I AM that you are now assuming yourself to be. It has to happen. Your outer behavior is always a reflection of your inner behavior.
The secret to creating a new you, so that you may create a new world in which to live, is the act of self-abandonment. Yes, that’s right! You must be willing to abandon the habitual you. You cannot commit yourself to a new life, you cannot step into a new world of experiences if you drag the old you into it. Life must reflect back the I AM that you assume is true about you. That is an unalterable truth!
Have faith. Believe in yourself. Know that no one but YOU can determine who you will be. Dare to believe what the habitual you considers unbelievable. Dare to believe that you are marvelously made, and that you can demonstrate this marvel in a million and one ways. If you believe less of yourself, you are forsaking yourself. For heaven’s sake, don’t do that to yourself.
Imagination is transformational. Get lost in those daydreams of the kind of individual that you yearn to be. Dare to say to yourself, “Yes, that’s me; that’s me; that’s me.” Say it until it begins to feeeel real. Now get out there in the world and act as though it’s so. Keep acting as though it’s so until you’re no longer acting; now it IS REAL.
And when the fantasy of being more than you used to be is no longer fantasy, but is fact for you – you will stir the interactive forces of cosmic creation so that all the circumstances in your life rearrange themselves to support the new you. The world you want to experience begins appearing before your very eyes. Goethe called it Providence that moves to in order to support you. Call it what you will. Simply know that a new world must show up to reflect the likes of the new you; creation insists on it.
This secret isn’t something new; you simply forgot about it. When you were just a baby, you were “a crawler;” you got around on all-fours. But, only until you imagined yourself walking. And, then you began acting as though walking was already so for you. You acted as though it was so, over and over again; you abandoned the “crawler.” Soon, walking began to feeeeel truly real for you, and you stood up straight on those two strong legs of yours … and a whole new world of experiences showed up for your delight. You’ve done this a thousand times over since then. It’s time to do it again
(1)What newness would you like your world to offer you?
(2)What expansion of self, that would expand your experience, would absolutely delight you?
(3)Who do you have to be In order to make that dream come true?
Well, now you, once again, know the secret to success. Every I AM that you can imagine yourself to be can be embodied by you. If it wasn’t possible, you couldn’t imagine it. Stop doing things mechanically and unconsciously. Begin creating your future deliberately by spending more time working on your inner conditions rather than trying to change the outer conditions that you find in your world.
Most folks are like the moon, they show the world only one of their sides. You have a million sides to put on display. Don’t go to your death showing the world only one of your sides. Most folks in rest homes, when asked what they regret, speak of all the things they did not do. You don’t want that regret – do you?
