It’s time to look at an important word that we love to banter about, but usually use inappropriately. The word is “rapture.” Its original meaning was “to jump out” … to jump out of one’s usual way of being … to jump out of ones’ comfort zone … to jump out of our shell and feel the freedom of jumping into something new. The reason “rapture” gives you an outstanding feeling is because you are standing outside of your usual way of being. The next five blogs will look deeper into the incredible feeling of “rapture.”
All of life has two sides. Polarity insists on it. If the rapture side of the coin of life consists of curiosity, courage, right choices and decisive action. Then the misery side of that same coin consists of mechanical living, fearfully reacting, wrong choices and indecisiveness. It’s not hard to see what side of the coin you want to live … and you don’t have to flip the coin, and take a chance on winning the rapture side … you can choose it. How stupid we would be to choose misery.
When is the last time you experienced rapture? When is the last time you had the courage to break free? Where would you be? What would you be doing right now if you were to experience rapture?
