Hilton Garden Inn Partners with Keurig® to bring great tasting coffee and convenience to busy travelers, and I’ve been fortunate to have been asked to be the National Spokesperson for Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) to enhance their aim. My job is to add further value to the traveling experiences of HGI’s guests by offering insights and tips that make travel comfortable and enriching. Stay tuned for additional travel tips and techniques throughout the week.
Those who make traveling delightful, plan their trip ahead of time. They don’t over pack their bags or their mind. Lugging around excess baggage of any kind makes traveling very unraveling. The odds are that you don’t need to take as much as you think you need when traveling. Make a list before packing. Ask, “Do I really need this?” Don’t over plan the items you take and don’t over plan your itinerary. However, even if it’s a business trip, do plan to be flexible, smile a lot and savor the local flavor. See it as an opportunity to discover something new.
Remember, traveling light is always right. Don’t stuff your pockets or pocketbook with unnecessary items. Sometimes it’s cheaper to pick up incidentals when you get there rather than to have to unpack them or get them through security. Don’t stuff your mind with unnecessary worries. Plan ahead so you aren’t rushing to the airport because you fell behind. Relaxing with a cup of coffee at the airport before flight departure is much more comfortable than feeling hassled about making it through security on time.
When you’re at your destination, maintain the morning routines you keep at home – check email, catch up on social media, go over the day’s to-do list, enjoy your favorite morning beverage and so on. In-room single cup Keurig® brewers are the latest amenity Hilton Garden Inn has introduced to help guests experience a taste of home when traveling.
When the mind is organized, you may well find that you’ll have extra time to get out and play. Open your mind to the newness that the travel offers you. Don’t forget where you came from, but accept the differences in everyone that you meet. Consider traveling a vacation, even if it’s about business. You shouldn’t need another vacation when you get home. When you travel light and your attitude is right, it’s easy to open to experiences that are warm and bright.
To support the introduction of Keurig single cup brewing systems in its more than 73,000 guestrooms, Hilton Garden Inn has partnered with Rob White, author and motivational coach, to help busy travelers create a lasting routine.
