Jerry is a great electrician. His personality is likeable, and he loves teaching me lessons on what he knows best – electricity. He often says, “When you know what you’re doing – anything is easy.” Here are five tips that Jerry taught me that helped make life easier for me.
Life Lesson #3: Rewire Your Brain
Slow down and trace the hard wiring in your brain. Are you prone to make hasty decisions that cause sparks later? Do you quickly interrupt when others disagree with your point of view? If you’ve hardwired these reactions in your brain, then know that you can snip the wires and rewire your brain so it responds more calmly. Snipping the wire is accomplished by simply interrupting the pattern – perhaps going for a brief walk and getting a breath of fresh air.
