I have a new favorite saying I have added to my “personal bible”. “When the horse is dead, get off”. This may seem obvious to most but in my warped thinking, I hadn’t failed if I hadn’t quit. While I’m not ready to give up the rightness of that thought, I have learned it didn’t serve me. If I want to win I need to move forward keeping only the learning and releasing the pain or feeling of failure to it’s place, burried in the past.
