Please note: I am a guest at Jk Allen’s Blog in a
special feature called Conversations with rob
When I mingle with right thoughts, I know the people to mingle with for right relationships. James Allen is just such a person for me. Those who really want to know the secrets of success listen to those who really want to uncover the secrets, and want to share them. Jk is such a person. I am delighted to work with Jk so he can share what he discovers with you. It is not risky at all to risk exposing oneself in favor of finding the truth. Jk is taking this risk. How can you find answers to your dreams and aspirations in a minimum of time? I suggest you go on over to the Hustler’s Notebook and participate with Jk. I can promise you that it will leave you in a different place than you are right now.
Now, lets get on with this week’s Blog: Gold Every Day
Imagine engaging in the fine art of self-discovery every day. If you sincerely did this, you would discover gold every day. The art of self-discovery is most fascinating. It makes apparent the foolishness of running after false goals.
Whatever false pleasure we get from false goals today, we pay for tomorrow:
(2.) Have you ever said something just to look good, and end up regretting it later? (trying to look good – false goal)
(3.) Have you ever tried to dominate a situation for fear of being dominated, only to have it come back to bite you? (trying to dominate – false goal)
(4.) Have you ever said something just for ego-satisfaction, and had it backfire? (ego-satisfaction – false goal)
Engaging in the art of self-discovery always yields true gold:
(1.) Have you ever sought to understand something in spite of your obstinate point of view? (seeking to understand helps you learn more about the truly flexible you – fabulous goal)
(2.) Have you ever forgiven someone for something they did even though it was difficult to do? (when you forgive others, you forgive yourself for begrudging thoughts you hold about yourself, and immediately you start taking yourself lightly. When you lighten up, you discover hidden talents that you didn’t know were there – fabulous goal)
(3.) Have you ever interrupted your usual thoughts by becoming more aware of what’s really going on around you? (when you interrupt usual thoughts, you allow spontaneous insights to come to you; insights about your creative side – fabulous goal)
(4.) Have you ever quieted your mind, and sought to see things differently? (when you seek to see things differently, the first thing you see differently is YOU. You discover more about your true nature: you are marvelously made and destined to win at whatever you set your mind to – fabulous goal)
Self-discovery is a full time job. You can practice it a home, in the office, while in the car, and at the bowling alley. Be wholeheartedly receptive to discovering more about yourself, and you will be the richest man (woman) in the world. It’s all pure gold!
If you catch yourself pursuing a false goal, stop and ask for more light. More light will show you the foolishness of your goal. Now you can get back to what’s truly important, and use the light for self-discovery. That’s what life is really all about.
